ARCHITECTURE MODEL COMPETITION
Innovation Department, in collaboration with Social Studies Department, is happy to announce their first in Architecture Model Competition-2021.
‘A representation of reality’, in which a representation is the expression of certain relevant characteristics of the observed reality and where the reality consists of the objects or systems that exist, have existed or may exist.
Top 5 Best Model Presentations will get a chance of media publication on our innovation website and social media handles.
CHALLENGE
This competition is designed to promote unique and fun ideas that a designer can undertake to build a model. Students in turn can apply the knowledge they have acquired in their mathematics and social studies. They can submit a new model or a traditional Emirati architecture.
Theme of the Year
The theme for the year 2021, is Urban living: sustainable cities and communities which links directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal no. 11.
The social action project could explore one of the following ideas:
• The effect of cooling buildings to improve the quality of air and the absorption of carbon dioxide through trees and plants.
• The impact of renewable energy such as solar, wind or waterpower on the community.
We want you to:
• Use your imagination and creativity!
• Get the help of teachers to provide feedback and suggestions on your ideas.
ELIGIBILITY
The Competition is open for all Students in KS2, KS3 and KS4 levels
Category 1: FS & Key stage 1
Category 2: Key stage 2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6)
Category 3: Key stage 3 (Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9)
Category 4: Key stage 4 (Year 10)
